Double click on your .toast file so that it mounts to the desktop.
Then open Disk Utility (Finder > Go > Utilities > Disk Utility.app).
Once Disk Utility is running, look in the left hand pane for the mounted .toast *drive icon.*
Select it by clicking on it and then click on the New Image Icon at the top center of the application.
Navigate to where you want the .dmg stored and name and click Save. Leave the options for Format set to compressed and Encryption to none.
This should create a .dmg version of the .toast file.
